Sacramento State’s Center for STEM Excellence, Community Engagement Center and the non-profit organization, Women of AT&T, will host Expanding Your Horizons, a conference aimed at encouraging 6th to 8th grade girls to pursue education and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), Saturday, October 6, 2007.

The conference will include hands-on workshops, discussions and interaction with school and industry leaders. Although the focus of the EYH conference is to provide hands-on learning experiences for girls, special sessions for accompanying adults will provide information on STEM education and career opportunities.
